This book was created as an experiment to see what can be done with type, and only type. The Grand Gothik Type Specimen explores the history, design, and usage of the variable typeface across six pages, each designed using only text from Grand Gothik. The design is intended to be as bold as the font is, inspiring the use of vibrant pinks and unconventional layouts. We often think design is synonymous with image, but this book shows just how foundational and versatile type is.
